Staff Induction
Our Director, Mantas Girdzevicius, meets all new recruits on their first day and welcomes them to Topman Construction irrespective of whether they are school leavers, apprentices, or senior management.
All staff receive a comprehensive Induction in our modern training facilities at our Head Office. This ensures that all staff receive a mandatory introduction to our Health and Safety Policy and environmental standards and an overview of all our company policies, procedures and expectations before undertaking any operational duties.
As a business, we also emphasize the support that is available to our staff from within TMC to ensure they are effective and successful in their specific role within our business.
Our line managers familiarise each new starter with their environment and job role, agreeing short-term objectives and identifying any short/long-term training needs to assimilate them successfully into the business.
This forms the first link between their individual Personal Development Plans (PDPs) and our supervisory processes.
Training and Development
We have developed a strategic Training and Development Plan for our business. This is linked closely to our growth strategy and provides opportunities for promotion and training for our staff linked closely to individual the Personal Development Plans (PDPs) we resource.
Our Head of Human Resources manager is responsible for implementing the training needs of our workforce. She coordinates a wide range of training courses, which are typically held at our in-house training suite at our Head Office or off-site at local education establishments.
All our staff receive twice-yearly PDP’s, which form part of a process of managing performance, staff development and identifying requirements for further training and progression within Topman Construction.
